End of the semester: English.

It is the end of the semester! Finally. Time to make evaluations of how the things worked, especially in these unfortunate conditions, and particularly in this case, how this English course came out.

I have not had face-to-face English classes at the university, which is why I can't compare this course to anything, but I think it’s not really necessary. It was a very good experience. Maybe I didn’t learn a lot of new things, but it absolutely helped me to train my English skills, especially in the areas where I needed more practice, like speaking (in classes and on the videos) and writing (in the blogs), English production in general.

By the way, let’s talk about the blogs. I can’t deny that it was a tedious task, especially on weeks with a lot of work on other subjects, but I was able to always make me a time to do it, and at the end I think that it totally worth it. I really need to practice my writing, and every week it was a little easier to find the correct word without going to the dictionary or thinking it by a long time.

About this of “finding the correct word”, I think it’s still my bigger difficulty with English, especially at speaking.  Probably I will never reach the level of fluency, even elegancy, that I have with my mother language, but I certainly want to improve it and I think I just need practice, to speak more in English.

I use English very often these days, especially on the internet. I watch a lot of videos in English, and I participate in various groups and forums in English too. And sometimes, just sometimes, I need it to my career to, mainly when looking for information on specific areas, so keeping learning English it’s absolutely necessary to me.
